Sue Hilsdon, Occupational Therapist

Sue Hilsdon is an Occupational Therapist for the Northern Devon NHS Healthcare Trust.

Getting into healthcare straight from school, Sue now works closely with patients to help them to improve their quality of life.  Find out what she does  below.

Can you give some examples of what you do in a typical day or week?

I work with people who have a long-term illness or who have an illness that affects the way that they can live their life.  I work with them at home, assessing how they can manage things now and how they would like to do everyday tasks.  I then work alongside them to achieve their goals.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

Working with people and the variety.

Thank you, Sue, for taking the time to tell us about your job.
